Pipkins has opened a new data center in London, according to Dr. James Pipkins, President and CEO of Pipkins, Inc., a leading provider of workforce management software solutions and services to the contact center industry.
“To better serve our customers in the United Kingdom, continental Europe and the Middle East, we have opened a new data center in London,” said Dr. Pipkins. “We selected a premiere data center campus situated between and serving the Square Mile (London’s global financial district) and Tech City (the 3rd largest technology start-up cluster in the world). With its state-of-the-art colocation and interconnection services, reliability, security and performance, it was a logical choice for us. Many Fortune 500 companies, global financial giants, stock exchanges and tech companies utilize this data center campus. We’re in very good company.”
Like the firm’s other data centers in Dallas and Houston, the new UK data center is a secure SOC2 Type II data center. It uses hyper-converged infrastructure for superior redundancy and runs on Windows Server 2016.
Pipkins customers east of the Atlantic Ocean should see improved performance due to reduced latency connecting to the firm’s new servers in London, which are approximately 4,700-4,900 miles closer to their locations compared to the firm’s Texas data centers. Pipkins UK, Ltd., will handle support for the new London data center.
A privately-held, American-owned company, Pipkins, Inc. was founded in 1983, and is based in St. Louis, Missouri. Pipkins UK is based in Rotherham, England. Pipkins is a leading provider of workforce management solutions for the contact center industry. Today, the firm’s systems forecast, plan and schedule more than 300,000 agents in over 500 locations across all industries worldwide. In addition, Pipkins solutions have applications for back office and remote workers, as well as a range of other business operations.
