Looking Glass™ is Pipkins’ new mentoring/collaboration tool. It allows managers, supervisors and team members alike quick and easy ways to interact and communicate with each other, and it’s embedded inside your Pipkins’ workforce management suite.
In fact, it’s at the heart of Pipkins’ new Workforce Network™. With Looking Glass, you no longer need separate communication apps for screen sharing, video conferencing and instant messaging. These are built right in along with the capability to monitor workers in real time and record the work being done.
It’s another way for your teams and their supervisors and managers to stay connected, whether they work in the same office suite or different suites, different floors of the same building or different buildings, different cities or different countries. If you have team members working remotely, or you offer telecommuting or work-at-home programs for your employees, Looking Glass will prove invaluable.
Screen Sharing for Mentoring/Collaboration
Work together just like you are sitting side-by-side at the same workstation, looking at the same screen, no matter whether you are five cubicles away from each other or 5,000 miles apart. Ideal to explain specific tasks to new employees or when you need to collaborate on projects.
Multi-Station Video Conferencing
Meet with one member of your team for one-on-one discussions or call a group meeting with your entire team wherever they are. No need to send calendar invites. You can initiate a meeting as soon as you see that all team members are available in their daily schedules when quick communication is needed, or you can schedule your video conferences in advance, all within your WFM suite.
Workers and their supervisors can send messages to each other for quick, efficient communication, and do so without the need for a standalone IM app. Since it’s part of the workforce management suite, it’s always there when you need it and everyone on your team is always logged on while they are working.
With Looking Glass and its video and screen-sharing capabilities, you can monitor workers in real time to ensure that they are performing at expected levels. When used for mentoring, supervisors, trainers or senior co-workers can then give immediate feedback to assist in improving performance.
Recording (future functionality)
Use recordings to document performance and for mentoring your team members. Record your top performers and show those recording to your entire team as examples of “how it should be done.” Use recordings of lower performers as examples of “what not to do” and to explain how to do it better. Record all team members so you can use those recordings in your one-on-one mentoring sessions.
Enhance your recruiting efforts through using video interviews. Replace initial phone interviews with video interviews, so you can better evaluate each prospective employee at this first stage in the interview process. You may even be able to eliminate the need for the preliminary in-person interview by opting for video interviews instead, helping to streamline your hiring process.
