James Pipkins

President

James Pipkins, an electrical engineer and plasma physicist, founded Pipkins, Inc. in 1983. Pipkins created the first Workforce management software program for BT (formerly British Telecom), which provided the foundation for the current generation of Pipkins, Inc. products. When he returned to St. Louis from the United Kingdom, Pipkins began building his company’s staff of management, technical, and marketing people who are developing new products and introducing them to the U.S. market. A native of Arkansas, James Pipkins earned an electrical engineering degree from Louisiana Tech University and a doctorate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was a physicist at General Atomic and McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) before starting Pipkins.

Joel Gilbert

Chief Technology Officer

Gilbert has spent his career in various aspects of the technology industry. Beginning in 1990, he worked for McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) / Electronic Data Systems as a systems analyst designing, building, and operating CAD/CAM systems and tools critical in the design and production of some of the country's most sophisticated weapons systems. He joined Pipkins, Inc. in 1992 as a consultant, providing key development and algorithmic support. Prior to being named to his present position, Gilbert performed various duties at Pipkins, including network administrator, system administrator, and Vice President of Development. Gilbert has been instrumental in moving Pipkins products to the Software As A Service model. Gilbert graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Timothy Venturella

Chief Financial Officer

Venturella joined Pipkins as Chief Financial Officer in 1997 to add the financial and managerial depth needed to realize the company's anticipated growth. From 1984 to 1989 he worked for the St. Louis office of KPMG Peat Marwick where he was a Manager in its Middle Market Practice. Since 1989, he has held various senior management positions within the technology industry. Venturella graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Accountancy from the University of Missouri — Columbia, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Missouri.

Robert Webb

Vice President/Sales

Webb has spent the past twenty years in various aspects of the telecommunications and data processing industries. He was a pioneer in satellite communications sales for Western Union's Westar Satellites, and later became Branch Manager for the Motorola Corporation. Webb was introduced to the world of call centers and the workforce management industry when he joined Affinitec Corporation as a Regional Sales Manager. Webb joined Pipkins in the spring of 1995 as a National Account Manager and was promoted to vice President of Sales in October, 1996. A native of Topeka, Kansas, Webb earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.

Stacy Woods

Manager of Software Development

Before joining Pipkins in 1992, Stacy worked at McDonnell Douglas Missile Systems Company (now Boeing) as a specialist engineer designing, building, and operating CAD/CAM systems and integration software used throughout the corporation in the design and development of some of the country's most advanced aerospace and weapons technology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.

Jim Bach

Manager of Web Development & External Interfaces

Beginning in 1983, he worked for McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) as an Electronics and Software Engineer working on several major aircraft computer and weapons systems. He joined Pipkins, Inc. in 1991 as a software developer. Bach graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University.

Jim Hogan

Manager of Customer Care

Hogan joined Pipkins' Customer Care Department in February 1997 as a Trainer. In June 1999, he was promoted to Manager of Customer Care. Prior to joining Pipkins, Hogan spent the previous ten years in sales and customer service in the insurance industry. Hogan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in MIS from the University of Missouri — St. Louis.
